Good evening. This is Grant Fauver, Director of Operations and Engagement at Coshocton City Schools, and this message is for all parents of all CCS students. Last Friday, February the 25th, the CDC announced that masks are no longer required to be worn on buses or vans operated by public schools. The CDC is making this change to align with guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask wearing in K-12 and early education settings in areas with a low or medium Covid 19 level. Wearing a mask is still allowable and optional for each child, but again, effective immediately they are no longer required by the CDC when being transported by schools. Our bus drivers will still have masks available upon request. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thank you and have a good evening.

The Junior ACT has been moved to Tuesday, March 15. ALL Juniors (CCCC, Coshocton Online Academy, CHS, CCP) will report to CHS on March 15 to take the ACT at 8:00am. Call CHS with any questions!

Please review the follow REMINDERS regarding Senior Class Scholarships! *All are DUE Friday, Feb. 25 to the Guidance Office by 2:35pm *Guidance Office will attach a transcript AFTER they've been turned in * BE SURE there is a STUDENT SIGNATURE on ALL SCHOLARSHIPS * Make sure ALL Guidelines have been reviewed and attached if necessary * * * *Attach a picture to all scholarships that require one ** Turn in ONE ADDITIONAL PICTURE in an envelope with your First and Last name on the Front (Some students have attached their photo in an envelope on every scholarship-- and that's okay too!) *For sorting purposes, put your scholarships in ALPHABETICAL ORDER prior to turning them in! Coshocton High School will be holding a mandatory OHSAA meeting for the parents of all students in grades 7-12 who are participating in a spring sport on Monday, February 28th at 7PM in the high school auditorium. Individual team meetings with coaches will take place afterwards.

Calling all Cheerleaders

The Coshocton Planetarium will be holding a Spring show on February 28, March 1,2,3,7, 8,9, and 10. There will be two different shows on different nights. All programs are free to the public, donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. On February 28, March 1,2,3, and 7 we will be showing "From Earth to the Universe" where we will travel from Earth through the Solar System and out to our galaxy the Milky Way seeing what all our Universe has to offer. The shows are from 7-8 pm. On March 8, 9, and 10 we will be showing "One World, One Sky- Big Bird's Adventure" where we will join Big Bird, Elmo, and friends discussing the night sky including some constellations, stars, and the moon. This show is gauged for family audiences with younger children. We will have two showtimes on these three nights: 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm. Due to the recent school closings and disruptions over the last several weeks, Coshocton City Schools is cancelling the two-hour early dismissal for next Wednesday, February 16, 2022. We hope this will get everyone back to a better routine and gather some momentum as spring approaches. Again, both schools will operate on a regular school day on Wednesday, February 16th. The early dismissal has been cancelled. Buses will run at their regular times. Please contact the district office or individual buildings with any questions. Thank you and have a good evening!

SUCKER SALE IS EXTENDED: Due to calamity days we have extended the CES Sucker Sale. All orders due by Monday Feb. 14th. All You Need is Love……And a sucker! The CES Student Council is hosting their Annual Valentine’s Sucker Sale! Suckers are only $1.00! Send them to your children and tell them how much you love them or let your kids send them to their friends, teachers or support staff to show them how much they mean to them! Forms have been sent home and more are available from their teachers, main office or Mrs. Kimberley.

Friendly Reminder: Weather permitting many of our First and Third Grade Students will be traveling to The Johnson Humrickhouse Museum this week. Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 8th, Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Hawn’s classes will be going on the field trip from 9:15-11am. If you DO NOT wish your child to attend please send a note stating this fact with your child tomorrow.

All Sophomore students will be visiting the Career Center on Thursday, Feb 10. Paper copies of a permission slip will be distributed at school tomorrow and an electronic copy was emailed to all sophomore students today. Students must return the permission slip by the end of the school day on Wednesday, Feb 9. Thank you!

Today is Monday, February 7, 2022 and this is a reminder that Coshocton High School is on a blended learning day. This means all students need to log into their Chromebooks to check Google Classroom and their school Email for their assignments that they will complete at home. These assignments are mandatory and will be collected when we return to CHS. Students should Email their teachers directly with any questions.
