Attention GEARS Parents: Due to the congestion during dismissal for after-school, we are changing the pickup process, effective immediately. We will start the new process on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. We will now dismiss the children from the front entrance by the retaining wall where the grade level signs hang. This is the same place that students are dismissed after normal school. Parents must park across the street in the high school parking lot and walk across to pick their student(s) up. If there is a situation and you have notified me, in advance, of an early release for your student, they will still be picked up at the gym doors. We believe this is the safest and most effective way to handle this and appreciate your cooperation. Thank you, Tammy Jacobs GEARS Site Coordinator

Beginning band instruments are starting to arrive to the school! If your child has expressed interest in band, please make sure you complete the rental application online, if you haven't already done so. Instruments that were rented at rental night have arrived and will be given out at our first rehearsal next Wednesday (9/21). This is to ensure instruments do not get damaged before students know how to correctly put them together and take care of them. If you still need to rent an instrument, go to www.cahousemusic.com use the code "CAH2016" to receive our school discount. Please get this done as soon as possible so your students' instrument can be delivered to the school! Until you complete this, your student will not have an instrument to play (unless you already own it). Again, if you have any questions please contact me via email at abigail.adams@coshoctoncityschools.com

GEARS before-school and after-school reminder: On Friday, September 2, 2022, your student received a GEARS acceptance or wait list letter to bring home. Program participation was based on the date of receipt of your application and your student's current grade level. The GEARS Program currently does have a waitlist. GEARS before-school and after-school starts Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Before-school starts promptly at 7:15am. You may drop your student off at the lower gym doors, where staff will greet them. After-school runs from 3:30-5:30pm and you must pick your student up as NO transportation is provided. All students must be picked up promptly at 5:30pm. Please be watching for an informational sheet to come home on your student's first day of GEARS with instructions on how to sign up for the Remind app, where you will receive updates about the program. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
