Facilities Master Planning Survey

COSHOCTON, Ohio - The administration team of the Coshocton City School District is seeking community input on the future of education and educational facilities in the district.

To gather the thoughts and opinions of the entire Coshocton community, the district is conducting a brief survey as a part of a larger community engagement effort. The results from this initiative will be factored into the Board of Education's decision to pursue a specific facilities master plan for the district. As the master planning process continues, there will be additional opportunities for community members to voice their opinions in an upcoming community forum as well as a follow-up survey.

Open to all district residents, the results of the survey will be collected beginning Tuesday, November 29th and will close on Monday, December 12th.

The online survey is available at the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/coshocton-schools-1

The survey is also accessible on the district’s website - www.coshoctoncityschools.com. For district residents with limited internet access, a printed version of the survey is available at the following locations, during normal business hours - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday:

  • Coshocton Elementary School Office

  • Coshocton High School Office

  • Coshocton City Schools Board of Education Office

Completed print surveys will be accepted at any of the locations and times above, as well.

The survey primarily asks questions in relation to the Coshocton High School facility. A handful of the survey questions have a similar look and feel to a past community survey that the district conducted in January 2019. With the goal of establishing a community-supported facilities master plan, the district hopes to confirm the results from the past survey and make any necessary adjustments prior to moving forward with the planning process.

“As we consider different facility master plan options for our high school, we are committed to listening to the needs and desires of our community,” said Superintendent Dr. David Hire. “The input of our community is an extremely important part of this process so we’re going to encourage as much participation in the survey as possible.”

As a reminder, the survey will open on Tuesday, November 29th and will close on Monday, December 12th. For future outreach opportunities like community forums and surveys, please follow Coshocton City Schools’ website for updates and details.
